Sweet Tea Award 2008

In Sunday's message, I talked about "balance." I titled the message "Sweet Tea" because isn't good sweet tea all about balance? You don't want it too strong or too weak. You don't want it too sweet. You want it just sweet enough. You want a little bit of lemon, but not too much lemon. It's all about balance.

In the same way, the Christian life (according to Jesus himself) is all about balance--balancing loving God and loving people (Matthew 22:36-40). The two are inseparable.

Honestly, I feel God calling me to some short term mission trip to Tennessee...keep me posted when you do the next taste test...I'm standing by in Missouri to assist in any way possible. It was a little painful to watch as only Cracker Barrell, Arbys, and McDonalds have had their come to Jesus with regard to sweet tea...I'm envious of the abundance the south has in sweet tea.
