One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, Carrie and I received our adoption referral for a little boy (Silas). Carrie wrote about this Christmas miracle on her blog today: http://oneal-itsasmallworld.blogspot.com/2008/12/one-year-ago-today.html

We can't believe it's been a year. All we know to do is praise God for giving us a son to raise and train. God is good!

Grandma's Braves Prediction

I joined my grandma for Thanksgiving Dinner at the nursing home. She's always been full of wisdom. She's also a huge Braves fan. SO, I asked her to predict how the Atlanta Braves would do in 2009. I hope she's right...

Christmas Brunch and "Choosing Christmas"

This Sunday at Peace, join us for Christmas Brunch at 10 a.m.

Also, I'm really excited about kicking-off a great message series called Choosing Christmas. In the Christmas story, the message of Christianity is clearly seen: God loves us so much that He sent His Son into the world to save whoever chooses to trust in Christ. Good news is good news once you choose to believe it. In this series, we're encouraged to celebrate the best news the world ever heard.

Come check us out this Sunday @ the YMCA in H'ville!
